From a 2007 vision to a school of our own.
Cincinnati Urban Promise (CUP) was founded in 2007 with a vision to empower children, strengthen families, and transform communities through Christ-centered educational and development programs. Since then, CUP has provided early childhood education, after-school and summer enrichment, mentorship, and family support services in underserved neighborhoods of Cincinnati.
CUP's wraparound services have played a vital role in helping students develop academically, socially, and spiritually — prioritizing individualized instruction, leadership development, and faith-based values.
As CUP's programs grew, parents expressed a desire for their children to continue their education in the same supportive, faith-based environment. Many struggled to find a K–6 school that upheld the same values and level of individualized academic, family, and spiritual support.
Recognizing this need, CUP created a Christ-centered academy offering rigorous academics, leadership development, and a nurturing environment where students thrive.
Urban Promise Academy officially launched in 2024, offering a high-quality, standards-aligned curriculum integrated with Christ-centered values — building on CUP's legacy so students from diverse backgrounds receive the academic, spiritual, and social-emotional tools they need to succeed.
